Tighten Your Skin With Radiofrequency Microneedling

Everything about skin and skin regimens is always the top trending topic on the internet. I mean, let us face it, some try beauty procedures for self-confidence, some try it for altered appearance, and some take the risk to fit in society’s beauty standards. But no matter our reasons, several beauty clinics have proved how undergoing these beauty procedures reflects self-care. That is why if you feel your skin is deforming no matter what age you are, Radiofrequency Microneedling is what you need to tighten your skin!

Radiofrequency Microneedling is probably new to your ears, but fret not because, in this blog, we will be elaborating everything about it.

What is Radiofrequency Microneedling?

The PiXel8-RF is a minimally invasive, fractional bi-polar Radiofrequency system that scatters Gold micro-needles deep beneath our dermis to produce dramatic skin improvements like skin tightening and skin rejuvenation. The PiXel8-RF treatment can be used on all body areas to create tighter, more lifted, and vibrant skin. Without surgery or downtime, this treatment combines the latest advancements in Microneedling and Radiofrequency technologies and is the most suitable solution to help restore youthful skin.

The process of Microneedling/ skin needling/ collagen induction therapy uses fine needles to form channels in the skin. If the procedure uses radiofrequency waves, it causes more damage, enhancing the effects. These effects trigger the production of elastin, collagen, and capillaries.

What skin issues does Radio Frequency Microneedling treat?

Like other skincare procedures, the PiXel8-RF specializes in certain skin conditions. These are the following: Skin tightening, acne scar improvement, wrinkle, and pore reduction, skin tone and texture Improvement, scar reduction, jowl and neck lifting, double chin reduction, upper and lower eyelid tightening, eyebrow lifting, hand rejuvenation, and crepey and loose body skin tightening (specifically in the abdomen, above knees and arms).

Who is a good candidate for Radio Frequency Microneedling?

Generally, PiXel8-RF is safe. However, there are specific characteristics ideal candidates should possess. Of course, you have to be healthy, have early signs of aging, and have realistic expectations. Your provider will discuss expectations and goals after the procedure.

However, you should avoid the treatment if you have a skin infection, have moderate to severe skin disease, are pregnant, receive cancer treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, have an active cold sore breakout, and have a history of poor wound healing.

How much will Radiofrequency Microneedling cost you?

Sadly, Radiofrequency Microneedling is not covered by insurance because it is considered a cosmetic procedure. The price generally ranges from $100 to $700, but this is subject to change depending on your provider, clinic, location, additional treatments, and the number of sessions.

What should I expect in the process of Radiofrequency Microneedling?

Patients usually testify that they experience minimal downtime after the PiXel8-RF procedure compared to other laser surgeries and procedures. Most patients experience redness for 2-3 hours and minor swelling, usually easing off within 48 hours. Your downtime may increase or stay static depending on the magnitude of the procedure. Here is how the process goes:

Before the procedure: Like any other procedure, your provider will assess your medical history, current health condition, and expectations. As mentioned earlier, you will be an ideal candidate if your health condition is good and your expectations are realistic. Do not worry because your provider will be honest with you as you will be to yourself. In most clinics, they will take a picture of your face to develop the best technique for you and orient you with the procedures they will make.

During the procedure: The actual process will happen in your provider’s clinic. Take note that this will take place in just one day, so you do not have to worry about staying overnight. The first step is to cleanse and sanitize your skin with alcohol to prevent infections. Second, anesthesia is, of course, present. They will apply this an hour before the procedure (local or topical). Next, after the numbing effect, with the use of microneedling, there will be tiny wounds on your skin, and radiofrequency waves will enter those wounds. After (typically) 60-80 minutes, your provider will apply a growth solution to encourage more cell regeneration. The process is finished up with a soothing solution to minimize discomfort.

After the procedure: Since there is no downtime, you can immediately go back to your normal activities. However, you have to ensure that you know how to take care of your skin afterward. Your provider will recommend you use ice packs for swelling areas of the skin, wear sunblock several weeks after your treatment, use prescribed antibiotic creams, gentle cleanser, and most importantly, avoid wearing and using make-up for the first 24 hours of your treatment.

You can see the results 3-6 months after the procedure (depending on the severity and condition of your skin). A three to four treatment series over 3-4 months is highly recommended to help you achieve maximum results, and you can do this every 3-8 weeks to let your skin rest and heal in the meantime.

What are the benefits of Radiofrequency Microneedling?

The PiXel8-RF, unlike other laser treatments, can be used on all skin types—the treatment aids to revitalize collagen and elastin production and provide skin tightening and rejuvenation. The microneedle depth can be adjusted accordingly for each treatment area, especially for delicate areas such as under the eyes, the forehead, and cheekbones. Some clinics even provide every treatment that includes platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which penetrates deep and crosses through all layers to regenerate all cells.

PRP has many advantages that emphasize the Pixel treatment, including improving skin texture and tone, reducing fine lines and scarring, and further stimulating collagen and skin cell production for a plumper, more radiant complexion. You can add other treatments like medical grade pigment reducing serums and filler to attain your desired skin goals!
